Sisterhood
We've shared some times old girl
And I can call you that,
For I reached old girl status
Just a few years back:

When I look back on younger years
You've always been right there,
Back,in struggling teenage times
Sharing laughter,fights,and tears:

We've shared the birth of children
They made our lives so full,
We'd often drift away,somewhat
But something always pulled:

Pulled back to family circle
And there we would recap,
Things of both past and present
Comparing worldly paths:

And now today we both have reached
That one half century day,(WOW!!)
My how it flew for me and you
Now I take pause,to say:

Before another day is gone
I think that you should know,
I treasure Sisterhood,we've shared
And marvel at our growth:

For we each know, from wence we came
And I'm extremly proud,
That we've arrived in tact,my friend
And if our Lord allows:

Let's make a lot of noise,old girl
In time that we have left,
Let's make those memories loud & clear
Least younger ones forget:

That we were here together
Before their time began,
And we'll be there to gather them
When their time draws to end:
